Prayer time last night

mike Everyday Faith, Our catholic kids, Prayers, Wholly Catholic!

Every night before going to sleep, we say our family prayers – my wife or I lead and our children (ages 4 and 2.5) follow and sometime contribute. Last night my daughter (2.5) chimed in –

Daughter – I want to go to Jesus’ house
Wife – What do you want to do there?
Daughter – Pray
Wife – Pray for what?
Daughter – Pray for lots of colors, Jesus needs a lot of colors

It made me smile in a way that I really needed. We’ve had so much bad news lately that this was the highlight of my week.
